Draw on the natural inspirations of artist Mariko Kitano with the Futatsubu Necklace, which takes its name from a Japanese term meaning "two parts." A pair of birds bond on a sparkling branch in this charming design that speaks to love's ubiquitous presence in the world around us.
About Mariko Kitano
At her home in the bucolic countryside of Ehime Prefecture, artist Mariko Kitano finds inspiration in the botanical wonders around her, from the herbs that grow in her garden to the wildflowers dotting the local hills. To create each design, she draws in soft wax with a needle, then carves away the excess to make a finely detailed mold. It is this meticulous process that allows her to reproduce the beautiful, delicate structures that populate her world.
